TrueProof Features: Everything You Get for WordPress
Version note: product settings in this guide were checked against the TrueProof 2.4.0 release on September 17, 2026. New-install defaults and upgrade behavior are distinguished below.
If your site already records supported orders, reviews or registrations, those events may not be visible to other visitors. TrueProof closes that gap by surfacing the activity that is already happening on your store, as recent notifications while a shopper is evaluating the site. Built for WordPress and WooCommerce by KarmaPower, s.r.o., it is engineered around one principle that matters to serious store owners: the proof has to be real. Here is everything you get.
Real Data Mode: notifications powered by genuine activity
The heart of TrueProof is Real Data Mode. Instead of inventing activity, it reads the events your store actually produces and turns them into clean notification bubbles. A visitor browsing a product page sees that someone in another city just placed an order, left an approved review, or signed up — because they genuinely did.
TrueProof supports these event sources:
- WooCommerce orders — recent purchases, surfaced as they happen.
- Easy Digital Downloads sales — full support for digital and download-based stores.
- New user registrations — ideal for memberships, courses and communities.
- Approved reviews and comments — only moderated, published feedback is ever shown.
Real Data Mode reads supported events from the WordPress site and does not require an external event feed. The source event can be checked in your own WordPress data; measure how visitors respond.
Simulation Mode for setup and preview
A new store may have no orders to display. TrueProof provides Simulation Mode for setup and preview. Simulation Mode lets a fresh site show example activity to demonstrate how notifications will look and feel. The Demo badge is always shown in Simulation Mode. Site owners remain responsible for lawful use and must not present simulated activity as genuine customer activity.
This matters more than it might first appear. When real orders start flowing in, switch to Real Data Mode; the Demo badge is used only for Simulation Mode. Simulation Mode is a launch tool, not a deception tool — and that distinction is built into the product on purpose.
Privacy-friendly by default
TrueProof 2.4.0 identity controls: new installations default to Fully anonymous: real events display “Someone” with no city or country. Short name shows a first name and surname initial when available, plus location; a single-field name remains as stored. Full name shows the stored public name and location. Email-shaped name values are suppressed in every mode. Upgrades retain the previous shortened-name or full-name setting until an administrator changes it. Open Settings → TrueProof → Privacy, select Fully anonymous (recommended), save and inspect /wp-json/trueproof/v1/events in a logged-out browser. The setting controls public output; it does not rewrite the underlying WooCommerce order. Supported notification-source records are processed on your WordPress site. During normal use without licence activation, the plugin’s own code makes no third-party requests. Pro licence activation, validation and deactivation send the licence key, home URL and requested action to wptrueproof.com, but not the notification-source records; the service also receives standard network metadata.
Vanilla-JavaScript frontend
TrueProof’s frontend uses vanilla JavaScript with no jQuery dependency. Actual page-load impact, CSS adjustments and visual compatibility depend on the theme, plugins and configuration, so test the widget and compare page metrics before and after enabling it.
Control over what shows, where and when
TrueProof provides settings for event types, frequency and pacing. Review those settings against the site’s event volume and visitor experience; the plugin does not guarantee a particular perception or result.
Defaults designed for transparent use
Endorsement and advertising rules — from the FTC in the United States to EU consumer-protection law — increasingly scrutinise misleading “social proof.” Plugins that fabricate orders or disguise demo data put store owners at real legal risk. TrueProof’s defaults support transparent use: Real Data Mode uses genuine events and the Demo badge is always shown in Simulation Mode. Site owners remain responsible for configuration and legal compliance, and should measure business impact on their own site.
Plans that scale with your business
TrueProof is available in three tiers. Paid plans use Stripe checkout and include the stated 14-day money-back guarantee:
- Free — get started and see real notifications on your store at no cost.
- Pro — €49/year — for growing stores, covering up to 5 sites.
- Agency — €149/year — up to 999 sites, ideal for agencies and multi-brand operators.
You can compare what each plan includes on the pricing page and upgrade whenever your store outgrows the free tier.
Why established stores choose TrueProof
If your store is already generating orders, reviews and signups, TrueProof can surface that activity as recent notifications. It uses genuine events in Real Data Mode, a vanilla-JavaScript frontend and privacy-conscious defaults. Review the configuration against your own performance, privacy and legal requirements.
